FAQs

Do you treat me in my house or in your mobile clinic?

The vast majority of appointments take place in our mobile clinic, but there may be a time when the visit takes place in one  of our partner clinics, if there is a particular x-ray that is required.

What happens after the first visit?

FOR INVISALIGN:

When your first set of trays are ready, we’ll get them right to your door, Dr. Mo will bond attachments to your teeth, make sure the trays fit , explain the process  and also get you started on our virtual monitoring, in person appointments will be scheduled in conjunction with weekly virtual check ups.   You will have access to our team via text message or, email during business hours Monday- Friday 9 am – 5 pm.

For Braces:

Dr. Mo will come to your location, apply the braces, teach you how to brush your teeth and schedule your next visit for us to come back and check on your progress periodically.

How many appointments will I need?

For Invisalign:

Typically appointments will be needed every 12 trays (approximately every 12 weeks).

For Braces:

Appointments will be scheduled every 6- 8 weeks

Will you come to me for every appointment?

Of course. We’ve got you covered.

How do I know if clear aligners will work for me?

We will either use a scanner to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth or take a quick impression mold.

Then Dr. Mo will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be.

You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.

Your custom-made aligners are virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

Wear your clear aligners 23.5 hours a day for the best results, taking them out  to brush and floss.

As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place.   Using virtual monitoring, Dr. Mo will be with you every step of the way, monitoring your progress through weekly scans with your smart phone.

After assessing you weekly scans, Dr. Mo Your doctor may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule check-ups every 12 weeks or so.

At every stage you’ll be able to see your progress using an app. Imagine how far your new smile will take you.

What Are the advantages of Clear Aligners?

Here are just some of the advantages of clear aligners: better oral hygiene, you can take it out for life’s special moments (pictures, performances, big kisses) and for life’s regular moments (eating, brushing, playing sports), it doesn’t make your mouth look like a train wreck (choo choo), it moves teeth about twice as fast (oh, but I wanted my braces to take much longer…said nobody ever), and it cuts appointments in half (or more).

Can I eat with my aligners on?

YES – we recommend it.

Who will be in charge of my treatment?

Dr. Melinda Mo B.M.Sc, .D.D.S.  Dr. Mo has a bachelor in medical science, and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the university of Alberta.

Do you take insurance?

We finance the full cost of treatment (which is less than you’d typically pay AFTER receiving your insurance benefits at a typical ortho office).

Plus we’ll submit the paperwork you need in order to file an insurance claim directly to the insurance. Once your claim is approved and processed, your insurance company will mail you a check (or series of checks).

Do you take medical savings plans?

YES

What does it cost?

$5990 to $7990 is the average treatment cost, or it could be as low as $5,690 or 5% off your total if you pay upfront. (The price may vary lower or higher depending on the complexity of the case.)

And on top of that we provide teeth whitening and free post-treatment retainers.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, visa, mastercard , and preauthorized debit for any lump sum payment.

For the monthly payment plans, we only accept preauthorized debit.

Do you offer an affordable payment plan?

All you have to do is make a down payment (typically $1500-$2000),  and convenient monthly payments spread out over 12- 18 months.   There is no interest for 18 months or less payment plans, for payment plans longer than 18 months, there will be 5% interest.

What services do you offer?

We offer full Orthodontic treatment from the comfort of your home, free teeth whitening and we use:  Invisalign, braces, and myobrace.

We offer Invisalign clear aligners from any location and Braces (may be based on location.)

Why is Braces Treatment Location Dependent?

Braces treatments tend to come with some “emergency” appointments. While these “emergencies”, are usually not true dental emergencies, in order to  offer the  best care to our patients, we can only offer braces from certain postal codes.
